Features of the 3500PLUS System
- Subframe and Coupling: The towing vehicle is equipped with a subframe with a mounted fifth-wheel. The 3500PLUS semi-trailer is coupled to this and rests entirely on the subframe.
- Rigid configuration: The vehicle and the semi-trailer are rigidly coupled and secured; there is no articulation, as is the case with standard trailers.
- Air Supply: The brakes and air suspension are powered by a compressor on the towing vehicle.
- Intelligent Braking System (IBS): An advanced braking system for maximum safety.
- Driver's License: A BE driver's license is required, both before and after January 19, 2013.
- Maximum speed: 80 km/h, subject to local laws and regulations.
- Maximum allowable combination weight: 7,000 kg.
