LMJ Construct (Turnhout) is entering into a special partnership with the German company Humbaur. That company is internationally renowned for its extremely extensive range of construction trailers and flatbed trailers for transporting heavy machinery or materials. LMJ Construct will be the exclusive importer of these trailers for the Belgian market, offering a solution for companies operating as contractors, earthwork specialists, paving contractors, carpenters, or entrepreneurs in landscaping or road construction.
More efficient allocation of available vehicles to customers
“This partnership is part of our new positioning: we want to be a one-stop shop for commercial vehicles for professionals,” says Carl Van Gorp. “Until recently, we focused primarily on custom-built trucks and trailers that we manufactured ourselves. However, building custom semi-trailers for transporting heavy materials requires very long lead times, partly due to the certification and inspections these vehicles must undergo. Our customers often don’t have that kind of time. Through our partnership with Humbaur, we can now offer our customers not only the LMJ range but also standardized products that already comply with all applicable standards.”
A well-filled order book
The fact that business is going well for LMJ Construct—which offers trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles for professionals—is partly due to its wide range of commercial vehicle solutions for earthwork and road construction workers. “We’ve just received a large order for several units of our Navvygator, a short-coupled LMJ trailer, for transporting articulating loaders and other materials and equipment. Our Navvygator truck has a payload capacity of 3.2 metric tons and can be driven with a BE driver’s license. In addition, we already have customers for Humbaur-brand trailers and flatbed trailers for trucks, designed to transport machinery and materials weighing up to 30 metric tons—which, of course, requires a CE driver’s license,” said Carl Van Gorp.
