The Ministry of Defense Selects LMJ Construct as Its New Supplier of Container Trailers in the Kempen Region

Turnhout – The Belgian Ministry of Defense has placed an order for 204 container trailers with LMJ Construct in Turnhout. With this order, the Ministry of Defense is bringing on board a new supplier from the Kempen region that will help strengthen the army’s logistical capabilities.

Rugged trailers for any application

The 24-metric-ton, three-axle vehicles are suitable for transport by land, rail, water, and air. This allows them to be deployed flexibly for both military operations and humanitarian missions.

7-Year Service Contract

In addition to the delivery, the contract also includes a seven-year maintenance and service package. LMJ Construct coordinates this in collaboration with a network of service partners located throughout Belgium to ensure maximum uptime.

Top European quality

The trailers were developed by Panav, a European manufacturer that also supplies other NATO countries. LMJ is Panav’s exclusive representative in Belgium. Separate production lines are being set up for the Ministry of Defense to ensure that deliveries to the civilian market are not delayed.

From Turnhout to all the barracks

The first prototypes will go into production shortly. Once approved, mass production will begin. The trailers will then be delivered to Turnhout and distributed from there to military bases throughout Belgium.

“We’re proud that the Ministry of Defense has chosen our trailers. Drawing on our roots in the Kempen region, we— Rik & Carl Van Gorp, managing partners of LMJ Construct—guarantee quality and service—so that every vehicle keeps rolling.”
